Aloha

Finding creative ways to entertain C on the plane. C was very interested in G's jelly beans.

Why not turn an airplane pillowcase into a hat? One of many tricks we tried to keep C happy on the flight. We discover by trial and error that G putting a pillowcase over his head to play peek-a-boo with C resulted in her letting our a terrified scream. God bless our patient fellow airplane passengers.

While we were excited to visit Hawaii, we were enthusiastic about visiting our fabulous friends the Andersons. We were stationed in Charleston, SC and Rhode Island together. My friend Carol is a gem! One of my favorite people! A sweet person, a fellow Navy Officer's wife, a mom with young children. We just get each other and mesh well. And our husbands and kids are great friends. Carol is more of a sister than just a friend. Her son Gavin is like my boys other brother. And what a awesome friend to help you recover from jet leg with Hawaiian shaved ice cones!

The boys enjoying their shaved ice cones.

Ready for Hawaii with a cute flower hair-do from Carol.

Taking a break from swimming.

Beautiful tropical flowers.

Carol and G playing baseball. G loves baseball.

J reading to G and G.

At the Dole Plantation.

Pineapple plants.

James and C at the Luau at Paradise Cove. C is just chewing on the straw outside the cup, not drinking James' drink, if you're wondering. ;)

Picnic dinner on Ford Island.

More Hawaiian baseball after dinner.
