Our Thanksgiving was wonderful! It was the first year we hosted Thanksgiving. We invited two families over for Thanksgiving dinner. There were a total of six children under the age of five in our small three-bedroom house, which made for a very active Thanksgiving. James, who is an amazing husband and a good chef, cooked a delicious turkey and made gravy and stuffing. I made most of the other foods (side dishes, appetizers and desserts), and the other families brought a few items, which all together made for a yummy feast to indulge in over prayer, Thanksgiving and conversation. And, yes, of course over a small mutual apple juice box spraying incident at the children’s’ table! ☺ Unfortunately, James and I were so busy preparing and hosting we slipped on taking any pictures of Thanksgiving this year. Tisk, tisk to us! Thank goodness we will be home for Christmas; my father who loves taking pictures can help us out with pictures then.

Aaron's visit and Thanksgiving
In an attempt to make a summation of the last few weeks, which have been very busy, here is a quick update. My brother Aaron flew across the country from Washington State to visit us for a week. It was great to visit with him and both of our boys LOVE their uncle Aaron. Aaron was also a huge help; he assisted us in picking up the yard, downsizing the amount of things we have collected in our garage over the past two years and was very helpful with the boys and chores around the house. After Aaron left I realized I had not done dishes or vacuumed our house for an entire week. Thank you Aaron! We also visited several touristy must see places in the Hampton Roads area (where we live) and in Virginia. We took Aaron to see Virginia Beach, the original Jamestowne settlement, Washington D.C. and a few local Norfolk sites and local must eat at restaurants (specifically the delicious Greek food at Orapax). Son James absolutely adores his Uncle Aaron, and demanded while crying that we go and pick Aaron back up from the airport after we took him to his departing flight. Here are a few pictures during Aaron's visit.
