Last week Gabriel had his 18 month appointment. He weighed in at 25 lbs and 2 ounces (he is in the 50th percentile in weight) and is 33 and 1/4 inches tall (he is in the 75th percentile in height). He is starting to thin out and get the slightly elongated toddler body type. Gabriel is doing very well developmentally and he is in great health. The check-up ended with Gabriel getting his 18 month immunizations (immunizations are very important... Gabriel cried and assertively told the nurse "no"). I am very happy with his pediatrician who took a lot of time sitting down and carefully examining Gabriel and answering a few questions I had. The doctor also let James listen to his own heart using the stethoscope, and gave James a sticker for being a super patient brother during the visit. James is very excited to go back for his own 4 year physical at the end of this month. I am very grateful for the amazing doctors, the nurse practitioner, and the nurses who have diligently cared for both Gabriel and James at their pediatric office. It is reassuring that Gabriel is doing so well.
Gabriel has 8 frontal teeth and 4 fully emerged first molars (two on top and two on bottom), which is right on track. To other parents with babies and young toddlers, here is a chart we have used to mark teeth eruptions: http://www.sacchildrensdentist.com/_media/downloads/finaltoothchart.jpg
Cute picture!
ReplyDeleteI love the tooth-eruption chart, even though I'm not a parent! :)
