Blueberry picking

This week J has been attending a science/gardening camp in the mornings. One morning earlier this week, G and I went blueberry picking with several of the moms (from my moms' group) and their young children. I had a great time spending some quality time with my youngest. :)






That evening we made Blueberry Buckle.


J, my sous chef, entertained us during the baking process by turning the Kitchenaid dough hook into a pirate's hook. Then he loudly started proclaiming, "Arrrrrrrrrrrr. Give me your blueberries. Or you'll HAVE TO WALK THE PLANK!" J would then laugh at his joke and repeat the same line or say something similar with the "pirate hook" waving about!



Yes, it was as yummy as it looks.
