This week was great. Still loving the early summer here in the mid-Atlantic. I had a lot of quality time with the boys this week, a trip to the library, swim lessons, hanging out with the moms connection group through our church and we tried to stay up on the gardening. By staying up on the gardening I mean remembering to water those poor plants in the morning. I've also resumed reading an amazing book, unfortunately the end is very close.
The new swim lesson session started this week, and James knows all of the instructors and most of the kids. He loves swim lessons, playing in the pool afterwards and is showing a lot of improvement. James has also been intently focused on reading his Dr. Seuss books (we read them together). Before James was born, we would read to him, and we have kept books and reading as an important foundation in his life. I am so glad that he shares this love of reading and learning too.
Gabriel and I have been cruising around the neighborhood in his push car while James is at summer preschool on Wednesday and Friday in the am. Gabriel is also a huge helper when it comes to gardening. What he enjoys is playing with the hose, and of course showers his car and other toys off too in the backyard.
This weekend we went to the beach again with the boys. It may be their favorite summer activity. Son James is very brave, basically fearless now that he can swim, so we have to be very watchful. We had a great Saturday and a relaxing Sunday as a family.
Above are some pictures from our small trip to the beach yesterday.
Good job on the UV protection at the beach :-). The boys all look like they are having tons of fun. What book are you reading by the way? I can always use an amazing book.
